The legal and synchs department covers a wide area, mainly we are talking about the management of synchs licenses and the adaptation of songs belonging to our catalogue.The synchronization of already existing works is used in advertising campaigns, movies, theatre plays, Tv series, Web sites and other audiovisual media.The dimension of our catalogue is constantly shown in the background music of important brands such as Coca-Cola, Seat, Estrella Damm, Panrico, Banco Santander, Movistar, Vodafone, El Corte Inglés, Iberia, Prada, Schweppes, Visa, Danone, Carrefour, Mapfre, Iberdrola etc…In well-known Tv Series such as CSI, Física o Química, Sin Tetas No Hay Paraíso, Cuéntame, Pelotas, Los Hombres de Paco or Ugly Betty. In Spanish movie productions as Broken Embraces, Map of the Sounds of Tokyo , Diario de una Ninfómana (OST), Yo Soy La Juani (OST), Room in Rome, Di Di Hollywood, Eva etc..and collaborations in several theatre productions such as the brand new 40 Principales “ El Musical”.Our department is also very active in the creative field, as we give the correct advising to find the perfect song for any kind of use.

We manage the adaptation permissions of existing songs that should be approved by the original author.It is considered that a song has been adapted when changes have been applied to the lyrics, melody and/or rhythm of an existing song.We should point out that it is not necessary to have the author’s permission when the song is already in public domain (70 years after the death of the original author/s).We will take care of managing the permission and the original authors will decide if they want to grant the adaptor any percentage for the adapted version. If percentage is not granted to the adaptor, the collected incomes will be distributed among the original authors.
